Surgical management of proximal hypospadias is challenging due to ventral penile hypoplasia, the associated curvature and the length of urethroplasty. Reconstruction of hypospadias has three objectives: to straighten the penis, to reconstruct the urethra and to cover the ventral part of the shaft. Severe hypospadias remains challenging as most procedures result in a significant number of complications and redo surgery. The choice of technique for proximal hypospadias remains controversial, hence, this e-course includes several options to treat proximal hypospadias, as well as tips and tricks from the experts, and how to analyse long-term outcomes (fistulae, strictures, voiding disorders, sexual function, fertility).
