UROwebinar: Surgical treatment of paediatric stone disease in the new era of high-power lasers and aspiration technology
High-power lasers and aspiration technologies are opening new possibilities in paediatric stone surgery, but their adoption requires critical appraisal of safety and evidence. This UROwebinar by the European School of Urology, the EAU Working Group on Paediatric Urology, and the European Society for Paediatric Urology will explore their principles, practical settings and application in retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) and percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) in children.

The UROwebinar will focus on thermal safety, intrarenal pressure, and infection risk. Through practical presentations and discussion, participants will examine patient selection, instrumentation, and operative strategies, while distinguishing paediatric evidence from adult extrapolation and recognising the limitations of the available literature.
